How it all started...

It was early 2018. Tensions were high with the United States and North Koreas nuclear missile program. Myself, like many other Americans feared that North Korea would launch a nuclear war against the united states.  As a junior in high school I asked myself one question. How can me and my family survive a nuclear war? Later that day I went for a drive to clear my head and while driving past my old elementary school I noticed a bright yellow sign hanging above a door on the side of the building. I stopped to check it out. As I walked closer I see a radiation symbol and the words "Fallout Shelter". At first I was really relieved that we had a fallout shelter right up the road. After some quick digging on the internet I found out that this shelter was not longer in use and it had in fact it had been converted into the gym that I grew up playing in on rainy days.  After realizing that this shelter was from the early 70s during to cold war I started researching other community shelters in Pennsylvania. Only to find out that there was not community shelters. Reality sunk in and I came to the conclusion that there is nothing I can do. If and when the nukes ever dropped I would have no choice but to die. After some time I decided to research more into the cold war fallout shelters. After reading up on the cold war I discovered news article about the Raven Rock Mountain Complex (RRMC) in Waynesboro Pennsylvania. A underground city built during the cold war for the pentagon. After learning that this facility is fully staffed and operational as well as being a top secret and secure military installation I decided I needed to see it for myself. In august of 2018 I drove down to Waynesboro. After that day my fascination with government facility's and top secret government operations grew tremendously.
